Production in Harmony with Nature
Our goal: no waste, no CO2 emissions
The global climate is important to us. All throughout production we focus on renewable and environmentally friendly energy.
Our renewable Energy Resources
Solar Plant
Harvesting our planet’s greatest source of renewable energy, the African sun. Photovoltaics produce around a quarter of our required total energy load.
Biogas
From fruit waste to biogas, more renewable energy and less waste. In our biogas plant we use fruit waste, such as mango or pineapple peels to generate carbon-neutral electricity.
Heating Ovens
The coconut shells and mango stones, which cannot be used for biogas, fuel our heating ovens. In this way, we are able to reduce our waste volume and generate all the heat energy needed for our dried fruit factory.
Less waste, more renewable energy!
Water Treatment
West Africa is facing water shortages, this is why we invest in rainwater dams. Rainwater is collected in the dams, treated in our wastewater treatment plant and used in our factory. We take care of the soil and groundwater too. All water used in the factory is returned it to the earth cleaned and filtered.
Composting Site
We produce 4 tons of organic fertilizer daily from composted fruit waste, which cannot be used in our biogas plant. This natural fertilizer improves the structure and quality of the soil and promotes richer harvests of premium fruit.
