The annual cultivation of mini-vegetables in Africa produces few emissions. The soil is healthy and needs virtually no fertilisers. The packaged vegetables are flown to Europe. If the vegetables were produced in Europe, tunnels and greenhouses would have to be used.

The workplaces are regularly inspected by neutral certifications (Globalgap). The workers’ payment is average and good.

Economy
The agricultural industry in Africa has a central significance. It provides many families with a good income. Connection to Europe offers the possibility of starting up as a producer.
