There is a lot of waste caused by the peeling of the fruit. This waste is composted on-site (no transportation emissions for uneatable parts of the fruit).
All 3 plants (Ghana, South Africa, Egypt) have exemplary waste management processes.

Social Aspects
The more than 2000 workplaces in Africa are paid at an above-average rate. All employees have regulated working hours and access to social services.

Economy
The 2000 fair workplaces have been created within just 7 years. Approx. 37% of the consumer price remains in the country of origin.
