Support of a clinic in Nsawam
Every time you buy a Fairtrade pineapple, you will be making a contribution of 5 US cents/kg to improving the living conditions of working families in Ghana. With this money, it has been possible to support an efficient clinic in Nsawam, 60 km outside of Accra. In Ghana, 90 % of all inhabitants are infected with malaria. The clinic provides the residents of Nsawam with medication, provides maternal care and deals with childhood illnesses. This project has been carried out with one of the producers of the HPW Services network. HPW Services AG looks after and supports producers locally in Ghana.
