Sewing Machines to make Clothes in the Village!
Every time you buy a Fairtrade pineapple, you will be making a contribution of 5 US cents/kg to improving the living conditions of working families in Ghana. In the working villages around the pineapple farm, this Fairtrade money was used to finance sewing machines, therefore creating new employment. Now, Mrs Yaa Aecheampong from Akoti Junction can make clothes and sell them inexpensively in her village.
This project has been carried out with one of the producers of the HPW Services network. HPW Services AG looks after and supports producers locally in Ghana.
