Fairtrade is a good thing for Producers and Consumers!

All our producers are Fairtrade/Max Havelaar certified.
Fairtrade/Max Havelaar improves the living and working conditions at the source:

• The farm labourers receive above-average wages, regulated working hours and access to social services.

• The minimum price, pre-set by the Fairtrade organisation, makes it possible for the producers to plan their business future for investments in food safety, fruit quality and in improving the workplaces.

• Every time a Fairtrade product is purchased, approx. 1% goes into a fund, which can exclusively be used to socially improve the living and working conditions of the workers.

HPW Services Ltd. in Ghana operates a local network of medium and large-scale fruit producers. With our local employees, we regularly inspect compliance with Fairtrade criteria and support the producers actively in implementing projects which will improve the living and working conditions of their workers.
